How We Do It...
It starts with what we call a "site survey". We inventory your computer equipment, review your processes, and talk to your staff. Then we discuss the goals you have for your business and the problems that stand in your way.
We put all of this information together and compare it to our Best Practices and identify areas where your IT investments can be improved, where they can give you a competitive advantage, and areas where they are in the way of your goals.
Then we come back to you with a specific list of recommended changes. Some of these you'll want to implement right away and others may be better scheduled for next year or the year after. The important thing is you now have a plan, and more importantly - a plan that is based on the goals you have for your business.
But, our work doesn't stop there. We are here to help you implement the changes we recommend and to manage the IT resources of your organization. From this point, our work falls into three categories:

Regular IT Planning Sessions
Things change.
We recognize that. The goals and strategies that we had last year may not be right for us now. That's why we will have regular planning sessions with you to make sure we are all still heading the right direction. This is also where we may suggest a process or technology that we see working well in another industry that may have a place in yours.
Life Cycle Management
We'll help you decide when it's time to buy new equipment, what to do with the old and where your IT dollars are best invested. This includes hardware purchases, software licensing, and the disposal of outdated assets.
Proactive Management
Benjamin Franklin said, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." We believe that can be applied to technology.
